The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro will selected Kasimpasa of Turkey defender, Kenneth Omeruo, as captain against Guinea-Bissau on Monday (today).
Omeruo will take the place of injured William Troost-Ekong in the starting line-up for the game.
The 30-year-old was an unused substitute in Nigeria’s first game against Equatorial Guinea.
The centre-back featured as a substitute in the 1-0 victory against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire last week Thursday.
He has made 100 appearances for Nigeria.
The match against the Djurtus will be Nigeria’s 100th game at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
