The Labour Party (LP) on Abia State has lost another House of Representatives seat, bringing to three the number of such seats lost at the Election tribunals Monday.
The party had earlier in the day, lost two seats to YPP and APC, following decisions at the tribunals.
Late Tuesday, the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, sacked the lawmaker representing Abia North/South federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon. Emeka Nnamani of the Labour Party.

The three man tribunal declared Alex Ikwechegh of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the house of reps election for Abia North/South federal constituency held on 25 February 2023.
Similarly, the tribunal nullified the election of Hon Ibe Okwara Osonwa of LP and declared Dan Okeke of APC winner for Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Adeyinka Aderegbegbe granted the relief of the Petitioners and ruled that Ibe did not comply with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
It ordered INEC, to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Ibe and issue a fresh one to Okeke.
