Early Life
Margaret Qualley was born on October 23, 1994 in Kalispell, Montana to parents Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley. Her father was a former model while her mother is an actress and model. She grew up with her older brother and sister, Justin and Rainey. Her sister went on to become an actress and singer. Qualley spent her early years on a ranch in Missoula, Montana before the family moved to Asheville, North Carolina when she was four years old. When she was five, her parents split up and she spent her time equally between them. When she was 14 years old, she left home to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts where she studied dance and trained as a ballerina. She earned an apprenticeship at the American Ballet Theatre and studied at New York’s Professional Children’s School.
